9 Days/8 Nights
Drawing you into the Hemis National Park, the Markha Valley offers the most diverse scenery and wildlife available from a short trek in Ladakh.
It's a challenging trek, taking you over two passes that exceed 4,900 metres above sea level. Yet, the height gives unrivalled views of the Stok and Zanskar ranges, a walk along the Indus River and access to wildlife including the chance to see Blue Sheep, Marmots, Ibex, the remote chance to see Tibetan Wolves and the very remote chance of seeing a snow leopard.
Acclimatise for three days and immerse yourself in local culture before heading off on a 5 night trek with highly recommended guides, navigating your way through vast jagged canyons, rivers formed from gathering snow melt and remote Ladakhi hamlets.
From ₹ 71,000 per guest in a Double Tent.
From ₹ 80,000 per guest in a Double Cottages.
The camping option on a trek costs extra to homestay, on account of the horses that will accompany you.
Prices for the trek and package decrease with more people.
