Our largest category of riverside rooms have the widest view of the Indus River, Shey Palace and the Himalayan range.
The chalets have a wide verandah by the river, large beds, comfortable linen. As with all our rooms, they have electric blankets, and the rain shower has 24/7 hot water from solar panels.
Along with the sun-baked mud bricks, local wood and glass that each of our rooms have, the chalets were particularly built in a passive solar format with trombe walls — a design that helps to regulate the inner temperature.
One of our chalets is a suite, which has a larger bathroom and an additional living room with a sofa bed. The living room has views out onto the Stok Kangri mountain peak. The suite has the most private location of the riverside rooms.
