We made our rooms knowing you can't outdesign nature—only complement and protect it.
We build primarily with local, natural materials: mud bricks, poplar and willow from our village, stones and earth from our own land, Hemang flagstone from villages along the Zanskar River.

Our two chalets offer a floor-to-ceiling view of the Indus River, the Shey Palace, and Himalayan peaks.
The chalets and suite are our most luxurious riverside rooms. Their raised foundations and prime location offer the best view from within the room.
The suite is our largest single room at Camp, with a separate seating area and walk-in bathroom with a bathtub.

Our two cottages are comfortable, cosy rooms, suitable for individual travellers. They are also our most authentic rooms, built from scratch with mud bricks made on-site.

The villa has two rooms and two attached bathrooms, connected by a common living room. The rooms can be booked together as a two-bedroom home, or separately as two single rooms.
Our kitchen ethos is Fresh Is Best. We serve a set menu that changes daily, focusing on regional Indian dishes and continental favourites. Read more about our kitchen and menus.
We offer a range of experiences at the property and nearby — from yoga and nature walks to cultural excursions and adventure activities. We're always looking for interesting things for our guests to discover.

We run our camp on principles of equality. We ask that our guests remain polite to all staff and guests, regardless of nationality, caste or religion.
The land is a large space, home to a variety of wildlife. We aim to preserve the natural environment, as well as the peace and sense of seclusion that our guests seek.
We don't pursue press. We never have, and we never will.
All we care about is providing an excellent customer experience. Roughly 80% of our bookings come from word of mouth, and we are extremely proud of that.
As of writing, we have the top rating on Tripadvisor and Booking.com for mid-level to luxury properties in Ladakh.
