Terms and Conditions | The Indus River Camp, Ladakh

1. Reservations and Bookings

A reservation at The Indus River Camp is confirmed upon receipt of the required advance payment (50% deposit). By making a booking, you enter into a contract for accommodation and related hospitality services at our property in Chuchot Yakma, Leh, Ladakh.

All reservations are subject to availability. We will confirm your booking via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours of receiving your deposit.

2. Check-in and Check-out

We strive to check guests in as early as possible — it depends on how many guests check out and at what time. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.

3. Guest Identification

As required under Indian law, all guests must present a valid photo ID at check-in. Indian nationals may use an Aadhaar card, driving licence, passport, or voter ID. Foreign nationals must present a valid passport with an Indian visa.

We welcome guests who respect our property, our staff, and the natural environment. Guests are expected to:

Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay. Costs for repair or replacement will be charged accordingly.

5. Itinerary and Travel Services

Our travel arm, Indus River Travels, arranges travel services including external hotel bookings, taxi and transport arrangements, guided excursions, permits, and activities on behalf of our guests.

For these services, Indus River Travels acts as a facilitator and intermediary, not as the direct provider. Third-party services (hotels, transport operators, activity providers) are delivered by independent suppliers and are subject to their own terms and conditions.

While we carefully select our partners and stand behind our recommendations, we cannot accept liability for services provided by third parties.

6. Force Majeure

Ladakh's geography and climate present unique circumstances. Road closures, extreme weather, permit restrictions, landslides, and other events beyond our control may affect travel plans and itineraries.

In the event of force majeure, The Indus River Camp and Indus River Travels will make every reasonable effort to arrange alternatives and assist guests. However, we cannot guarantee specific routes, mountain passes, or destinations when conditions make them unsafe or inaccessible.

8. Payment

We accept the following payment methods:

Online payments are processed securely via Razorpay. Payment links will be shared via email or WhatsApp. All rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

9. Liability

The Indus River Camp is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of guests' personal belongings during their stay. We recommend that guests keep valuables secure and consider travel insurance for their trip.

Adventure activities such as rafting, trekking, and high-altitude excursions involve inherent risks. Guests participate in such activities at their own discretion and risk.

10. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a guest's stay if their behaviour endangers the safety or comfort of other guests, our staff, or the property. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

11. Modifications to These Terms

The Indus River Camp reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. We encourage guests to review the terms at the time of booking.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from a booking or stay shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Leh, Ladakh.
