Our policy on cancellations, modifications, and refunds for bookings at The Indus River Camp.

We require a 50% deposit of the total stay cost to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival or as agreed at the time of booking.
Your reservation is not confirmed until we have received the deposit and sent you a written confirmation via email or WhatsApp.
Cancellation 14 or more days before arrival:
Your deposit will be refunded in full, minus any transaction or processing charges incurred on the original payment. These charges are levied by payment processors and are beyond our control.
Cancellation within 14 days of arrival:
Our Force Majeure policy applies. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis for genuine force majeure situations, including:
If your cancellation does not fall under force majeure, the deposit is forfeited.
No-show:
If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and have not informed us in advance, the deposit is forfeited.
To cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible:
The cancellation date is determined by when we receive your notification, not when you decide to cancel. We recommend contacting us via WhatsApp for the fastest response.
When a refund is approved:
We understand plans change, especially when travelling to a remote destination like Ladakh. Date changes are accommodated where possible, subject to availability.
If you need to modify your dates, contact us as early as you can. There is no charge for date modifications if availability allows, though any rate differences between the original and new dates will apply.
In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking due to circumstances on our end (maintenance issues, safety concerns, or other operational reasons), you will receive a full refund of your deposit. We will also assist in finding alternative accommodation wherever possible.
Travel arrangements made through Indus River Travels — including external hotel bookings, taxi hire, guided excursions, and permits — involve third-party service providers, each with their own cancellation policies.
If you cancel travel services:
We will always be transparent about which costs are refundable and which are not.
The Indus River Camp operates seasonally, approximately from May to October. If you book dates outside our operational season, we will contact you to rearrange. If suitable dates cannot be found, you will receive a full refund.
